The Motivational Enhancement to Work Performance of Teachers in The Charity School of Buddhist Temples, Lampang Province

Abstract

The purposes of this article were: 1) to study the need assessment, 2) to study the ways of motivational enhancement to work performance of teachers in the charity school of Buddhist temples, Lampang province. The processes on this study had two steps: 1) study the need assessment of motivational enhancement to work performance of teachers with sampling 148 persons to analyze contexts by using the improvement of Priority Needs Index (PIN) and 2) study on the ways of motivational enhancement to work performance of teachers by interviewing the eight experts and analyzing by using the content analysis method.

The research found that: 1) The results of study need assessment of motivational enhancement to work performance of teachers. Sorted from highest to lowest as follows: (1) working environment (2) morale (3) Personnel development (4) culture of organizations (5) educational supervision (6) performance evaluation, and (7) career goal setting and 2) The results of study on the ways of motivational enhancement to work performance of teachers found that (1) They should be provided good working environment; modern technology of media, system, and equipment with comfortable teachers' room (2) an incentive/bonus with welfare to ensure for being the public school teachers (3) set an enough budget on planning for teachers' development; trainings, seminars, and open opportunities for participating on the development with the good consciousness on their own duties
